hah. i just loved, okay? plus i needed new socks.

my shopping trip was sort of a mixed bag, as i accidentally bought the expensive milk (same color as the milk i always buy but like $2 more! oops) and expensive grapes ($8 for a bunch of grapes, grumble grumble -- maybe the world's retribution for me getting two bunches so cheaply last time?) but at least i got to make another delicious chocolate chip banana shake with these ingredients (plus a few more).

my channel 9 baby.

those of you who know me already know i'm a reporter for channel 9.

what you may not know is that today was my nine month anniversary. that's right, folks. in the time i've been working in wausau, i could have gone through an entire pregnancy and had a channel 9 baby.

made from vanilla yogurt, shredded coconut, frozen pineapple (it was fresh but decided to freeze it so i didn't need to add ice)

in other news, i wanted to buy grapes on saturday but they're usually super expensive. i put a bag in my basket anyways, checked out and went home. it's safe to assume i was pretty surprised when i started putting away my groceries and found...

...TWO bags of grapes?!

i checked my receipt. i only was charged for one.

plus (i also didn't know) they were on sale -- $1.85 for all of these!!

my sister is way more artsy than me.

my sister make artistic things like it's her job. it actually used to be and now she still does awesome things. like these cool bowls that she's apparently giving away and i WANT.

meanwhile, i am bad at art. i can spend days (literally, days -- mostly because i'm just slow) painting things and they still look like this:

luckily, i finished today and they'll be firing it soon and i'll have a shark mug by next saturday. and hopefully it'll look better than it does in that pathetic picture.

also, even though i haven't been blessed with artistic talents, i do love to cook and make things with food. let's remember back to a few days ago when i wanted a banana chocolate milkshake but then realized i didn't have any cocoa. i used chocolate chips instead (and some of them were still in little pieces after the blending was done) and it was DELICIOUS.

okay. my new blog friend briane tagged me in one of his posts, so i'm going to go ahead and follow through with continuing the chain.

first, i'm supposed to list seven random facts about myself.

1. today i went to three meth houses. just another day in the life of a tv news reporter in wausau...

2. i've been craving a chocolate banana milkshake for about a week now and i finally bought bananas and chocolate. it might be time to make one very soon.

3. i haven't drank (drinken? drunk?) pop since last monday and i'm determined to stop drinking it altogether. i've been trying to minimize my caffeine intake but finally i just decided to quit, cold turkey. so far...i'm not dead. we'll see how this goes.

4. i like cloudy days more than sunny ones. the sun gives me headaches. clouds don't.

5. i spent at least 8 hours in direct sunlight yesterday (at noah's ark!) and i didn't tan or burn at all.

6. i feel naked without mascara.

7. i've never had a ceiling fan until i moved to wausau. now i have one in my bedroom and i leave it on all the time. how did i live so long without one?
